Position Overview


The Head of Private Partnerships Development, Asia Pacific, will play a key role in developing the notoriety and the revenue of Aide et Action in the region through building and developing a network of private partners committed to giving access to quality education to the most vulnerable and marginalized populations locally, and around the world.


She/He will adapt, define and implement the business development strategy for the Asia Pacific region, serving beneficiaries and projects, in line with the organization’s vision, missions and values, according to the financial objective to be achieved.

Core Accountabilities

Define the private partnerships development strategy for the Asia Pacific region by adapting the global strategy:

  • Define the brand positioning, product line, segmentation, targets and business plan
  • Survey and benchmark the AP market and manage yearly reviews
  • Package field projects and adapt the calls for proposal elaborated by central AEA offices and work closely with central team
  • Identify the projects adapted to each target, build the project documents in connection with the programs management, adapt the business cases according to prospects and partners objectives
  • Define and implement the yearly action plan
  • Develop Aide et Action’s network of philanthropists, business leaders, decision makers in the AP region, and actively prospect new partners
  • Canvass Companies and Corporate Foundations, identify and qualify individual prospects amongst corporate groups, companies, corporate foundations, private foundations, individual philanthropists, based on their CSR initiatives, core business, and targeting assumptions, 
  • Produce leads cards, permanently update the global database with prospects identified and deadlines for calls for proposal;
  • Support the development of partnerships in the field of education in line with the general public fundraising AP strategy;
  • Define the tactics and approach strategies towards key companies and contacts;
  • Participate in conferences, seminars, workgroups to meet with these leaders;
  • Define the prospect marketing plan from outreach, to re-spins;
  • Score prospects and partners to develop the pipeline;
  • Conceive pitch materials.

Manage the partnerships and Partners’ relationship:

  • Build tailored partnerships (in terms of counterparts) relying on Aide et Action’s global umbrella philanthropic campaign(s), priority projects, innovation and research
  • Use existing mechanisms (sponsorship, calls for projects, shared products, charity events, company employee events, brand patronage, etc.) to conceive tailored offers
  • Explore new products such as impact investment funds, CSR funds, etc. 
  • Define the range of partners’ counterparts (tax advantages when applicable, coms and branding valuation, etc.) in order to ensure equity and the engagement of all sizes of companies alongside Aide et Action
  • Propose and negotiate the elements of the Partnership Agreement
  • Ensure the monitoring of the partnership, its valuation and the quality of the proposal
  • Coordinate the administrative and financial parts of the contract
  • Ensure the timeliness and quality of narrative and financial activity reports, contractual commitments (images, counterparts, etc.), control the processing of the allocation of grants
  • Guarantee the quality of the narrative and financial elements, the deadlines for the submission of calls for proposals and the sending of activity reports
  • Contribute to the response, reporting and indicator dashboards for partners
  • Manage the Partners’ relationship
  • Define the modalities of partner loyalty
  • Respond to partners’ solicitations and anticipate their needs and requests
  • Adapt communication tools, presentation materials, corporate newsletters, BtoB and BtoC social ads, paper materials to promote and value the partner’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and engagement in the cause of education
  • Actively contribute to develop individual philanthropy in the Asia Pacific region under central team direction:
  • Identify leads to join Aide et Action’s global philanthropic campaign
  • Identify the contacts and define fishing tactics
  • Update the philanthropy database
  • Manage the relationship as a relay to central philanthropic team
  • Organize field visits
  • Define and manage the operating budget
  • Mandatorily manage and update leads and contacts in Aide et Action’s database and CRM tool
  • Deliver monthly reporting, KPI and OKRs dashboards analysis; quarterly and yearly reports, analysis and recommendations to adapt the action plan
  • Manage the Hong Kong office and take an active part in the international fundraising coordination workgroup
  • Manage functionally the Hong Kong staff
  • Manage logistics, security and administrative work
  • Manage planning and team work, represent Aide et Action externally
  • Be the focal point for the HK governance, take part in statutory meetings
  • Report to the Director of Development of Resources



  • Master’s degree or PHd in marketing, business development, Corporate social responsibility, impact management, sustainable development and related areas
  • Bilingual in Cantonese and English; knowledge of French and another language is a plus


  • 10 years minimum significant experience in developing strategic partnerships over the Asia Pacific region
  • Excellent knowledge of the Asia Pacific private sector, businesses, foundations, philanthropists, NGOs

Ideally, the position will be located in the Hong-Kong office of Aide et Action.


Ability to travel domestically and internationally, for no less than 20% and usually not to exceed 35% of total working days per year.
